'Vida de Luis Carlos Prestes' ('The Life of Luis Carlos Prestes'), also published as "'The Knight of Hope'", is a 1942 book by Jorge Amado, a biography of the well-known Brazilian revolutionary Luis Carlos Prestes.
The book, written when Prestes was a prisoner of the Getúlio Vargas dicatorship, expresses considerable support for Prestes's positions and indeed admiration for his person.
